Grange Plot Dedicated

SEPTEMBER 2, 2025 -- In 1930, the members of the Connecticut State Grange collected $500 to purchase 20 acres of land to be donated to the new Peoples State Forest in Barkhamsted, CT. The plot of land was then known as the King Farm.

Grange Plot Dedication: Come to Peoples State Forest

AUGUST 6, 2025 -- Join us on Sunday, August 24th when we dedicate the Grange Plot in Peoples State Forest. For decades the exact location of the plot had been unknown as the original plaque was attached to a tree and lost to the ages.
