| SEPTEMBER 9, 2025 -- Hillstown Grange’s 137th Annual Agricultural Fair will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9 am to 2 pm. The Hillstown Grange is located at 617 Hills Street, East Hartford, CT, since 1888.
Craft people, artists, gardeners, and cooks of all ages are encouraged to enter their best items to be judged for our fair. Judged items may be awarded ribbons and cash prizes. All entries must be brought to the Grange Hall Thursday, September 11th, between 5 and 7 pm. and picked up between 1 and 2 pm on Saturday, September 13th.
Garden categories include vegetables, fruit, flowers, and our “Special Contests”. There is an adult and youth level Kitchen categories include baked goods, canned goods, jelly and jams. We are the only local agricultural fair in the area for entries in the Connecticut State Fairs competitions and we had one winner going all the way to win the State title of ‘best apple pie’. Both at our fair and the State level is open to all with both an adult and a youth level. Crafts, hobbies, and photos can be entered at adult and youth levels. The Special Flower Contest for 2025 is “Any Small Floral Bouquet” and the Special Vegetable Contest for 2025 is “Your personal Best in Show Vegetable” (this entry would be your best single vegetable or fruit specimen.)
Lunch is available with our famous grilled hot dogs and hamburgers topped with peppers and onions and will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting we will have indoor and outdoor seating for lunch. Raffle numbers will be pulled at 2pm. A farmer’s market and craft zone will be held outside weather permitting. Vendor spaces available.
