September 2025 News from Wallingford Grange

By Stephen Fengler

  SEPTEMBER 7, 2025 --

At Wallingford Grange, we’ve recently had a major work party weekend focused on continued improvements of the grange hall. We painted the dining hall, it was very light ivory, now it is very light blue. We also re-hung the window weights and reglazed two windows, plus fixed the weight in the pull-down for the kitchen pass-through (never seen a weight this large, was probably 12 pounds!) Thank you to all who helped!

Recently, we hosted a community event where Sarah Glidden of Bones and Botanicals presented how to use herbs to create teas, syrups and wonderful mocktails. Thank you to Sarah!

In September to November, some special events Wallingford Grange is looking forward to hosting include our 88th annual Grange Fair (September 13th: 12pm-5pm), Harvesting Honeys and Tastings Event (October 8th: 6pm-8pm), Potato Bar Dinner (October 11th: 5pm-7pm), Pasta and Cultures Event (November 4th: 6pm-8pm), Pancake Breakfast (November 8th: 8:30am-11am and veterans eat free), and Magic Show (November 21st).  At the fair, lunch will be served throughout the day. We will have Backyard Shenanigans for the Kids, Live Music, Chicken Poop Bingo, Ol’ Coots Giving Bad Advice, Exhibits, Bake/Craft Sale, Educational Interactions, and More! We hope to see you there!
