Winchester Grange remembers Eleanor Mori

Eleanor Mori, 83, slipped into God's loving arms on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Charlotte Hungerford in Torrington, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Joseph Mori. Born in Winsted, May 31, 1927, daughter of the late Charles J. and Belle (Decker) Nash, she had lived here all of her life.

She was a graduate of The Gilbert School, class of 1945, communicant of St. Joseph Church, member of the Winchester Grange, loved gardening and sharing the produce that she had with her family and friends.

In adddition to her loving husband of 62 years, she is survived by her sister, Virginia Ellis of Winsted and several nieces and nephews to whom she was like a second mother. She was recently predeceased by her brother, Charles R. Nash.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 9:30 a.m. from the Maloney Funeral Home, 55 Walnut Street, to St. Joseph Church for the funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday 6 to 8 p.m.
