OCTOBER 2008 -- Our day of “celebration” is behind us and awards (checks and ribbons) have been given for the needlework, crafts, and baking contests. We thank you for the wonderful entries and extend congratulations.
First place winners in needlework went on to the Big E to compete in the New England finals. Our entries (along with the other states) were on display in the New England Grange Building to be admired by the public.
The Grange Country Store was a great attraction! It came as no surprise when the good Patrons of Connecticut came through with hundreds of handmade items for the sales tables. Thank you, all! We also want to express our appreciation to each of you who came to the expo and worked in your Grange Building.
We look forward to seeing many of you at our Connecticut State Grange Convention. Come see our arrangements of all contest winners, stop and say “hello” at our station, and on Friday night after lunch, listen to the annual report of all of our work- a report that YOU made possible. We will be singing your praises.
IMPORTANT- Let me give you the dates of the regional CWA conferences where the Pomona and Subordinate Chairpersons will receive their working instructions and packets for the 2009 year. We hope the Master, committee members, and anyone interested in our program will join us for the presentations. All meetings are at 1:00 P.M.
