| MAY 1, 2024 -- Save the Date! We have confirmed that our Family Activities and Lecturers contests will be judged on the weekend of August 24th. We are hoping this date will be better for all those who are holding their annual fairs. More details will follow but I wanted you to have this date for your calendars. Don’t forget that the National Lecturers Contest is due September 1st. This year the pattern is “Split Back Star Block” details can be found on their website and we are putting up the link on our website as well.
After going thru my stash of assorted craft items, I have found plenty of knitting needles and crochet hooks and patterns for anyone who could use them. I also have fun Grange Family Activities songs that are fun and easy to sing to start off for your lecturers’ program! Just send me an email and I can arrange to get them to you. Also, for the animal shelters in your area, perhaps Grange members have old towels and blankets that they no longer need I recently heard that CT is short on dog food. Consider donat- ing them to an animal shelter by collecting canned and dry food at one of your meetings. This is a good way to meet one of the goals for your yearly FAC donations/activities. Now is the time to think of these things before our lives get busy with other activities and obligations. |
